November 2014 members and missionaries

I attended a fundraiser where Minister Min Khin said hello -- I think we were helping raise funds for a Buddhist library or something.  But it was nice to be supportive and got to meet some other interesting Christian religious representatives there.

Above, Elder Sorn departs to California Long Beach mission, after serving faithfully in Cambodia with us for a couple of transfers (3?) while waiting for his visa.

Above-- lunch is always the best part of MLC or leadership meetings!

A big group gathered for leadership training meeting in President's office...

Above East District Conference in November 2014, with Elder Leonard Woo presiding-- I really enjoyed meeting him and learned a lot from him.

Above our wonderful East District Presidency-- President Soy Kosal on left, President Veasna, and President Un Sophalnara on right.

Above with Elder Woo

We found time to go visit Sister SreyRoth Ray's mom and dad and family home past Baku... really wonderful to be with them and continue to try and interest them in the gospel.

Elder Caine set to depart to his home in Africa

Above, well wishers come to see Sister Phon Phanny begin her missionary service.  She was called to serve in England, but was unable to secure a visa, and her call was reassigned to our mission-- which we were very thankful for!  She is a wonderful sister.  So humble and spiritual.

Sisters and families gather to welcome those finishing their missions.

A wonderful group of finishing misisonaries November 21, 2014-- from left Sister Neth, Daly, Sister Trinh (Huong), Sister Hem, Mariya, and Elder Barker.

Above Sister Hem with her non-member parents -- who live in Prey Veng Province.

Above Sister Neth Daly with her parents and sister (Lida) and her husband Elder Sok (RM)

Above-- a poor quality photo but amazing sister-- Sister Kuoch, with her parents, Sarath and her husband

Sister Trinh with her non-member father, who came all the way from Vietnam to pick up his daughter.

Saying goodbye to Elder Barker at the airport.  What a wonderful difference he made in our mission and what a wonderful difference he experienced in his own life as a result of his mission.

Above and below-- with our small group starting in Prey Veng Province, in Neak Leung... future South Stake Patriarch President Am Than in the photo, with his wife-- their daughter was studying in NL and attended church there- they came frequently to visit her and join.

Some very nice scenery from the balcony and top of the stairs of elders apartment/church meeting place in Neuk Leung (Yellow People)

Above-- a wonderful picture of a typical rural Cambodian family courtyard-- kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and storage, all in one place.

More pretty scenery in Prey Veng...

Above-- where the elders lived and church held in Prey Veng Province.  Below, a smorgasbord of creepy critters to eat-- the largest "buffet" and market of insects to eat I have seen was at the waiting area before ferry across the Mekong on National Road 1.

Boarding the ferry in the Prado...
the new bridge now open means this ferry was a thing of the past only... no longer in operation
