We enjoyed a wonderful senior couple conference with all of our senior couples November 11, 2014
Below preparing to head out on a boat ride on the Mekong-- it was a beautiful day, not too hot, delightful weather.
Above a boat similar to the one we were one. Below, views of the "houseboats" and small shanties and homes along the river. Most of those living on the banks and shores are Vietnamese, as they cannot own land elsewhere.
We enjoyed a beautiful sunset, including the very interesting "My Little Pony" cloud next to the building below...
Phnom Penh royal palace area at dusk...
Below, dinner together at Tell Restaurant
The next day we spent in meetings, discussions, including reviewing challenges, best practices, and more above...
After the day long conference, we had the wonderful opportunity to watch the children from Botevy's orphanage (CIFCO) come present dances and songs to us... they were wonderful as always...
They ended by singing I am a Child of God and several other LDS children's songs, and then below we all joined in for "chicken dance" and "makarena"
With Elder & Sister Gatherum who serve in Hanoi
With Elder & SIster Hymas who serve in HCMC
We had a short visit from Larry Gibson, General Young Men's Presidency, and his wife... they were accompanied by Elder & Sister Funk, of the Area Presidency... it was delightful to receive training from them and spend a little time together
November 23 we enjoyed attending and officiating at Amreth Phirun and Sophallaroth Un's wedding in Ta Khmao chapel. A beautiful couple and a beautiful service. We really enjoyed it.
Superb returned missionaries all-- Amreth, Chetana Loy, Sister Un, Sreyroth Vorn, and Seiha Kong
A future LDS couple! Loved the little boys expression
Brother Larry Gibson and some of the YSA and youth who attended a special fireside that he gave.
