Mission Tour

These first few posts might not necessarily be in order, but above is the group that met us at the airport after our long 30 hour trip to get there.  We were not exactly bright-eyed and bushy tailed, but they gave us a warm welcome.  The airport reminded us of the airport in Maui, Hawaii.

Our first "Meet the President" meeting in Phnom Penh - with the South Zone and East Zone elders.  We have been so impressed with the amazing missionaries serving here--it really is remarkable the quality of young men and young women serving here as missionaries.  We are very fortunate!

A nice spaghetti and pasta lunch together with the elders and sisters in the South/East zones.

Our meeting with the North and Central zones.  Held in the North District Center-- a beautiful modern meetinghouse - and quite large.  The Central Zone is all the Vietnamese speaking elders and sisters here in Phnom Penh.

The Battambang zone - our first "meet the president" meeting on the road in the provinces.

The Siam Reap elders and senior couple.  Below checking out the site of the new Siam Reap chapel the church is building-- the foundation is in and they are starting on the walls.

The Kampong Thom elders and senior couple - the third stop on our mission tour through the provinces.  The Assistants were probably getting a little tired of translating our talks by this time!  It was wonderful to meet with these smaller groups in the provinces.

  1. Nic is amazed at how nice the church buildings are there, for not even having wards and stakes! He says the buildings in Brazil were small with no a/c. Looks like you have great missionaries to work with! Love you lots.
