Below with Elder Pon and Elder & Sister Dilworth in Kampong Cham for the district conference August 3 2014
A wonderful youth/YSA choir in KC performed for the district conference-- led by Elder Ladin Hang, who is always a great conductor.
Above, a wonderful baptism service followed the district conference sunday session. And we also held a CES graduation ceremony-- the Seminary and Institute graduates pictured below.
Above, a trip to Solomon Ukwudili and his wife in Phnom Penh to see their brand new little baby-- number 2 for them. They moved to Congo shortly after this photo was taken.
Above and below, dinner and FHE at the mission home with a wonderful member family from Toul Tom Pong-- this is the family that whose daughter is married to Bruce Walters from Alpine, I think.
Nuon Sokal and his family from Chamkamorn - August 2014. He had coincidentally (not) been escaping a rain storm at the SSC when I and the others were there doing interviews for the new South Stake Presidency in May. He joined in a lot of conversation. He and his family have been less active for a while. The daughter and her British husband (she is an RM) joined. We invited them all for a dinner and FHE at the mission home and also showed them the 20 year video, which included, coincidentally (not) a photo of their baptism many years earlier. They were surprised and delighted when watching the video to see the picture of themselves come up. We had a good talk and took a photo in front of the earlier photo. The daughter and her non-member husband came to church for a few times after that. Brother Sokal came to bring me a Happy Khmer New Year greeting and some fruit in April 2015.
Baptism of a wonderful family (2 families heading to become one family) in Ta Khmao 2 branch. Both investigated gospel, and were attracted to each other-- both single parents. Both, and their respective daughters, above, were baptized the same day August 24, 2014. The couple was married in January 2015, if I am remembering right. Elder Anthony and Elder Seaver helped teach and baptize them.
